Pelt Mapping In this tutorial we will learn about Unwrap UVW modifier and pelt mapping. We will not only explore simple mapping like Planar or Cylindrical, but also the more elaborate technique called Pelt Mapping. This technique seamlessly wraps texture around the object.

Firstly, we will look at the Planar. Cylindrical and Spherical mapping so create a sphere, a box and a cylinder in max. Select box. Press alt+q to isolate the selection and apply Unwrap UVW Modifier. Expand the modifier stack and select face from the list. From Selection Parameters uncheck the Ignore Backfacing and select all the faces of the box. Apply box mapping and than click on best align. From the parameters rollout click on the edit button. A new editor window will open up.
